Retreat for Girls gives LDS young women ages 12 to 15 the opportunity to spend one week away from home in a fun and safe environment developing lifelong friendships and increasing their self-esteem and testimony. The time girls spend at this conference truly is a retreat from the world and the many daily difficulties young people must often face. In addition to making new friendships, participants will engage in group team building activities, listen to enthusiastic guest speakers, participate in scripture study, and participate in a variety of service and craft activities and devotionals during the week. Each young woman will return home prepared to face their challenges with renewed courage and optimism.
This unique retreat offers a balanced program including:
- Well-trained, exceptional college-age counselors who understand the leadership role they play in the life of each young woman
- Engaging guest speakers that address timely issues and gospel related topics in an entertaining, yet appropriate way
- Opportunities for young women of similar background, faith and values to come together and develop lasting friendships and testimonies
- A safe environment for young women to grow spiritually, socially and emotionally
| When and where is it held? |
The 2013 schedule is complete. This year there will only be the two sessions held at Utah State University. We still hope to expand in the coming years.
